InCentric's Business Partner Innovation Center places specific focus on solving Wireless Business Applications and Integration process issues for SMB customers across industries. InCentrics BPIC has been designed to provide access to a broad range of technical solutions including application integration, application development, SOA enablement and e-Business solutions, with specific focus on WebSphere/Lotus brands. Products supported include all Express products in the Websphere Brand, WebSphere Portal Server, WebSphere Commerce Server, WBI Connect, WDI, Lotus Domino, IBM Content Management Server, Lotus Learning Management. Industries supported includes Manufacturing, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Telecom, Retail, Logistics, Banking, Insurance etc.

Established for Business Partners

The IBM Wireless Business Partner Innovation Center is a facility dedicated to the IBM SMB Business Partner community for wireless workforce mobility solutions. These applications include mobile office, field force automation, and sales force automation.

The Center is a multifunctional facility housing IBM eServer xSeries® servers and IBM Pervasive WebSphere® software for wireless applications. IBM Business Partners can use the center for wireless customer demonstrations, proof of concepts, and many other sales activities.

Variety of sales and technical activities

The IBM Wireless Business Partner Innovation Center is located at the headquarters of InCentric Solutions an IBM Business Partner, in Morrisville (Raleigh), North Carolina. Various wireless sales and technical activities can be held at the Innovation Center, including:

  • Product demonstrations
  • Client sales callso Product training
  • Meetings and teleconferences
  • Solution development
  • Proof of concepts

Lab delivers effective workforce solutions

The purpose of the Innovation Center is to provide the IBM Business Partner community with a regional facility, equipped with the latest IBM hardware and software products for wireless applications. An easily accessible lab environment exists to demonstrate how the IBM WebSphere software products deliver mobile office, sales force automation, and field force automation effectively and within budget.

The Innovation Center provides an area for meetings and teleconferences, display and demonstration of IBM hardware and software products, training classes, and demonstration of IBM On Demand Business solutions. The Center's computer resources can be made available to Business Partner teams for development and testing of On Demand Business solutions upon request.

Who can use?

Any IBM Business Partner or IBM sales team can use the Innovation Center to sell IBM wireless solutions. Coordination and scheduling the use of the Center is through InCentric Solutions.

On Demand Business demonstrations

The Innovation Center is configured to support IBM On Demand Business application scenarios focused on portal and wireless solutions. The Center is populated with all the computing resources required for basic wireless and portal solutions, including:

  • IBM BladeCenter® and rack
  • Ethernet and wireless network switches/routers
  • IBM WebSphere Connection Manager server
  • IBM WebSphere Everyplace® Access server
  • IBM WebSphere Portal and Application server
  • IBM DB2® Relational Database, Directory Server, and HTTP Server
  • IBM Lotus Notes®/Domino® Personal Information Management (PIM) and e-mail server
  • IBM Lotus Sametime® Everyplace Instant Messaging (IM) server
  • RIM Blackberry® Enterprise Server with Mobile Data Services
  • Palm Treo 600 Smartphone
  • Compaq iPAQ Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)
  • RIM BlackBerry 7280 color wireless handhelds
  • Relavis eSales Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application.

These are some of the wireless solution demonstrations available in the Innovation Center:

  • Palm Treo 600 Smartphone with wireless PIM and e-mail synchronization to Lotus Notes/Domino via Sprint phone module through WebSphere Everyplace Access server
  • Compaq iPAQ PDA with wireless PIM and e-mail synchronization to Lotus Notes/Domino via Sprint modem card through WebSphere Everyplace Access server
  • IBM ThinkPad® with Wi-Fi wireless connectivity to enterprise portal using WebSphere Everyplace Connection Manager server and WebSphere Portal server
  • BlackBerry wireless handheld running Lotus Sametime Everyplace client over AT&T Wireless network for Instant Messaging on the go
  • BlackBerry wireless handheld running WebSphere portlets to access Relavis eSales server through a BlackBerry Enterprise Server and WebSphere Everyplace Access server
  • IBM BladeCenter running Red Hat Linux® and Microsoft® Windows® 2003 under virtual machines using VMware Workstation
