WebSphere is Internet infrastructure software - the foundation for e-Business. What is a portal?
An Enterprise Corporate Portal provides immediate benefits to all users in an organization. To the end users, the portal is a single web based interface to all the information they will need throughout their day. This might include personalized links for the user, so that they can see their assignments, mail messages, calendar entries, stocks, and other information they find pertinent.
