IT Staffing - Job Postings - Sr. Software Engineer
InCentric Solutions has an immediate need for several Senior J2EE Developers for a customer in Cary, North Carolina to work on one of our their newest Internet-based applications. The individuals will be very strong Java developers and will develop new products through the full development life cycle. The application will be built in Java and Struts and will run on Websphere. These are six month contract-to-hire positions.
Primary Responsibility:
Perform senior level analysis, design, programming and modifications of computer programs for software.
Responsibilities:
- Write detailed specifications, write code, complete programming, testing and debugging of applications.
- Document forms, procedures and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of application programs using UML notation.
- Work with minimal supervision. May be on-call.
Requirements:
- Expert level of Java / J2EE skills including server side development experience, Servlets, EJBs, JSPs.
- Minimum of five years of experience in object oriented programming / analysis / design.
- SQL and strong database experience (Oracle, DB2 or some type of relational database.)
- WebSphere
- Struts
- Experience with JDBC and stored procedures
- Solid OO analysis and design including experience with UML
- Ability to work in a team environment and assist other developers
Preferred:
- Experience with application and persistence frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate are desirable
- Experience with commercial web application development
- Web Services (i.e. XML, SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI)
- WSAD and ClearCase
- College degree in an appropriate field (i.e. Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics)
