InCentric Solutions has an immediate need for an IBM Hardware Sales Engineer to join our Professional Consulting Services team.
Primary Responsibility:
- The Hardware Sales Engineer position is critical to InCentric Solutions market penetration into the IBM iSeries, IBM pSeries and IBM xSeries server market in our efforts to become a full turnkey IT solutions provider.
Responsibility:
- Assist InCentrics account executives in the pre and post sales activities from a technical and solutions perspective
- Work with customers and account executives to provide technical sales support and act as IBM eServer subject matter expert in the development of IT business solutions for SMB customers
- Deliver articulate and effective technical presentations to decision makers
- Assist with the development of Proof of Concepts and SOWs
- Provide post-sales technical support
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related degree
- A minimum of 5-7 years of hardware server support, administration, installation and configuration of IBM servers (AIX, iSeries, xSeries, pSeries)
- 2-3 years experience in either pre-sales or post-sales support
- The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies (switches, routers, hubs)
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred:
- IBM certifications in either iSeries, pSeries or xSeries
- Any experience with IBM Storage network products
